    • Discriminatory, hateful, or promotes violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual preference, disability, or any other characteristic.
    • Illegal, including content that infringes on intellectual property rights or promotes illegal activities.
  • Responsibility for Content: Users are solely responsible for the content they upload. This includes ensuring that they have all necessary rights and permissions for the content shared.
  • Content Review and Removal: SeeTheMenu reserves the right to review and remove any content deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these terms without prior notice. Repeat offenders may have their service suspended or terminated.

Intellectual Property

  • User Content Rights: Users retain all rights to their content but grant SeeTheMenu a license to use, display, and distribute said content in connection with the service.
  • Prohibited Content: Users must not upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • User Responsibilities: Users are solely responsible for the content they upload to our SeeTheMenu, including text, images, and logos. Users must ensure that all content adheres to applicable laws and respects intellectual property rights.
  • Logo Uploads: To ensure full compliance with legal standards, each restaurant owner or manager must confirm that any logos uploaded to our SeeTheMenu do not infringe on any trademarks, copyrights, or other legal protections. By uploading a logo, you attest that you have the right to use it and that it does not violate any laws. We reserve the right to remove any logos that we determine may be problematic or in violation of applicable laws. Your cooperation helps maintain a trustworthy and legal service for all users.

Legal Compliance and Content Responsibility

  • Service Role: Our SeeTheMenu provides a digital menu display service that allows restaurant owners and managers to present their menus to customers through various electronic formats accessible via QR codes. It is important to note that our service merely facilitates the display of content provided by the users (restaurant owners and managers) and does not in any way participate in the creation, curation, or verification of the content provided, including the legality of the menu items listed.
  • Compliance with Local Laws: Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the content of their menus, including all food items listed, complies with the local, state, national, and international laws applicable to their business operations. It is the user’s obligation to understand and adhere to all such laws concerning the sale and promotion of their menu items. This includes ensuring that items listed are allowed under local laws and regulations pertaining to food safety and food contents.
  • No Enforcement Responsibility: We do not monitor menu contents, nor do we provide guidance on legal compliance specific to any locality. Our SeeTheMenu does not enforce any laws or regulations concerning food and it is not within our capacity to do so. Responsibility for legal compliance rests entirely with the user.
  • Removal Rights: We reserve the right to remove any content from our SeeTheMenu that we become aware of and determine to be clearly illegal, infringing, or in violation of third-party rights. However, our failure to remove such content does not constitute an endorsement of it or a waiver of our rights to enforce other provisions of our terms and policies.
  • Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless our SeeTheMenu, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim or demand made by any third party due to or arising out of the user’s failure to comply with legal standards, laws, or regulations, as well as any other claim arising from the user’s use or misuse of our SeeTheMenu.

User Conduct

  • Interactions: Users must always conduct themselves in a respectful and lawful manner when using SeeTheMenu.
  • Compliance: Users agree to comply with all local, state, national, and international laws and regulations applicable to their use of SeeTheMenu.

Account Security

  • Account Information: Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and are liable for all activities under their account.
  • Notification: Users must immediately notify SeeTheMenu of any unauthorized use of their account or breach of security.

Subscription and Payment

  • Users agree to recurring billing schedules upon subscription. Payments are securely processed through Stripe. Users wishing to cancel their subscription must do so before the billing cycle renews. Our refund policy and procedures for handling billing disputes are detailed in the Subscription Management section.

Content Guidelines

  • Users are prohibited from uploading vulgar or inappropriate content within their menus. Any reports of such violations will result in the temporary disablement of the offending menu until the issue is resolved. Repeat offenders may face permanent suspension.

Currency Conversion and Translation

  • Currency conversion rates are updated four times daily based on global stock exchange data. Translations are automated. Both features are provided “as is,” without guarantees on accuracy or timeliness.

Termination

  • SeeTheMenu reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts and access to the service for users who violate these terms of use.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

  • SeeTheMenu provides the service “as is” and does not make any specific promises or warranties regarding the service. We limit our liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for any damages that may arise from the use of our service.

Amendments

  • These terms of use may be amended from time to time. Continued use of the service after such amendments signifies your acceptance of the changes.

Governing Law

  • These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SeeTheMenu operates (Greece) without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
